What's in each PDF

  • Page 1: Color Palette A and B. Two blank grids side by side, so you can try two colorways and compare them.
  • Page 2: Left and Right. A grid for each earring of the pair.
  • My Colors key on both pages. Color in a box and write the bead code beside it.
  • Every bead labeled. Top rows numbered, strands lettered A to M, and fringe beads numbered down each strand.

FAQ

Are these earring templates really free?

Yes. Download and print as many as you like. There is no sign-up, no email and no account, and the online designer is free to use too.

How do I read the template grid?

The triangle top has 12 rows, numbered from Row 1 (the widest, 13 beads) up to Row 12 at the ear wire. The 13 fringe strands are lettered A to M from left to right, and each fringe bead is numbered from the top of its strand, so every bead has its own address.

What is the difference between one-drop and two-drop?

In a one-drop template each row of the triangle top is one bead high. In a two-drop template each row is two beads high, so the top is taller with the same 13-bead width. The fringe is the same in both.

How long is the fringe on each template?

The longest strand, in the middle, is 28 beads on Short, 41 on Medium and 54 on Long. The strands step down one bead at a time toward each side, so the outermost strands are 6 beads shorter and the fringe forms a V.

What beads should I use?

Brick stitch fringe earrings are usually beaded with size 11/0 cylinder beads such as Miyuki Delicas. Round seed beads work too, although the finished size and look may vary slightly.

Can I design the same template online?

Yes. Every template has an Open in the free designer button that starts the same blank with the same settings. Tap a bead to color it, undo freely, and download your pattern with a color key and exact bead counts, free and with no account (free downloads are a 1× PNG with a small watermark). Pro adds a printable word chart, Beading Mode and Guide, which walks you through every stitch.

Do you have other earring shapes?

Yes. Inside the designer you can also try diamond, star, mandala, circle and butterfly top shapes (each a one-time add-on, or all included with Pro), wider or narrower triangles with the Variable Width add-on, and free beaded charm designs.
